Museum Holiday Hours and The Occasional Bookstore!

We’re tickled to announce our 2019 holiday hours along with special guests who will be joining us while the museum is open for visits!

Songs in the Mountain coverLocal authors Kari Kilgore and Jason A. Adams from St. Paul-based Spiral Publishing will be visiting and bringing their forty-plus books, with other great authors joining in the fun. Both Jason and Kari write many stories set in and around Appalachia, and Kari even has a series that takes place mostly here in St. Paul and Castlewood. Well, in a fictionalized version called Wolf Branch. They’ll have paperbacks, hardcovers, and gift cards available, including Frank Kilgore’s Far Southwest Virginia: A Postcard and Photographic Journey.To Catch A Thief cover

Saturday November 23 from 10 AM to 2 PM:
Come see the Santa Train and get an early start on your holiday shopping with St. Paul’s Town Bazaar!
Author Elizabeth Champagne will be joining us!

Saturday November 30 from 9 AM to 3 PM:
Celebrate Small Business Saturday! Start with a Kickoff Breakfast at 4th Avenue Baked Goods, where anyone making a purchase will get a $5 coupon good at any participating business, including Spiral Publishing. Then check out all the wonderful businesses around town.

Saturday December 7 from 10 AM to 5 PM:
Enjoy St. Paul’s Open House all day and stay for the Christmas Parade at 5 PM!

Join us for Clinch River Days at the Museum!

The museum will be open to help celebrate the Clinch River Days Festival in beautiful St. Paul the last weekend in May. Come on down and say howdy!

We’ll be open on Thursday May 30 from 6 to 9 pm, Friday May 31 from 10 am to 4 pm, and Saturday June 1 from 10 am to 2 pm. Swing by www.clinchriverfest.com for more information about the festival.

Clinch River Days Is Just Around the Corner!

Clinch River Days in St. Paul, VirginiaThe Town of St. Paul is getting ready to welcome a whole bunch of visitors to our lovely home for Clinch River Days, and Mountain Heritage Museum will be part of the festivities!

We’ll be open an extra day for the festival, so come on down and say hi! We’ll keep extended hours on Thursday, June 2, from 10 am to 9 pm. Other local businesses will also be open Thursday evening to welcome you to St. Paul. Friday and Saturday we return to our regular hours of 10 am to 4 pm.

We’ll be hosting our own Antiques Roadshow on Saturday! Bring in your antique or photos of your antique for a free evaluation.

Our friends at the wonderful Sugar Hill Trail System will hold a 5.5K race on Saturday at 6 pm. You can walk, run, or cheer folks on at this beautiful setting. Registration starts at 5:30 on Saturday with an entry fee of $19.
